We are very pleased to announce that Olivia Hyunsin Kim/ddanddarakim’s Performance “Miss Yellow and Me – I wanna be a musical” won the 1st prize of the Amadeu Antonio Prize 2019. Amadeu António Kiowa was murdered by neonazis in 1990 and one of the first victims of right wing terror right after the reunification of Germany. We remember all the victims and survivors of right wing terror and violence…..

“Miss Yellow and Me – I wanna be a musical” has been made possible through the collaboration of incredible artists (Elischa, Jisun, Jungyun, Wicki and Yeonsook), the support of curators and theatres and the help of many hands from family and chosen kin members and all the amazing artists and thinkers who came and fought before us. All the fellow nominees and awardees for their incredible work. Last but not least all the supporters and fans of “Miss Yellow and Me – I wanna be a musical”. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The official award ceremony took place on the 26th of November at 19:00 at Bürgerbildungszentrum „Amadeu Antonio“
